Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a powerful, yet simple system of natural healing.

Reiki means “universal life force energy”, the non physical energy that is ever present flowing around and within all living things.

“Rei” describes the universal aspect of this energy and “Ki” the fundamental life force flow.

Reiki is a means of activating this energy to promote healing and balance of the mind, emotions, body and spirit by stimulating our own inherent natural healing abilities.

The Origin of Reiki:

Reiki is a simple, yet ancient healing system, information on Reiki having been found in Sanskrit texts dating back thousands of years.

Reiki was rediscovered & developed in Japan from the experience and dedication of Dr. Usui (d.1926) He was inspired to develop the Reiki system after many years of study, research and meditation and devoted his life to the practice and teaching of Reiki.

“The Traditional Usui System of Natural Healing” continues today, being passed on by Reiki masters worldwide, who have been trained in the tradition passed down from Master to student. I am a 7th generation Reiki Master.

There is no belief system attached to Reiki. It is not a religion or a cult.

It is available to everyone.

A Treatment Session:

During a treatment session, the Reiki practitioner gently places their hands in a sequence of positions that cover the whole body. Each hand position is held for several minutes.

The practitioner is a channel, through which the energy is drawn by the need of the receiver. A full treatment generally lasts 1 hour, though more time may be given.

It is a non-invasive treatment; there is no need to remove any clothing. Reiki will pass through anything even plaster casts.

What Can Reiki Heal?

It is possible to heal at any level of being: physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.

Reiki promotes relaxation and relieves stress and pain.

Acute injuries can be helped to heal very quickly; more chronic illness and dis-ease may take longer.

Reiki flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

In some cases, such as terminal illness, there may not be enough time for the progress of the disease to be reversed. In such cases there is usually great benefit to the enhancement of the quality of life giving a sense of peace and acceptance during the time remaining and a more peaceful transition.

It is important that one makes the distinction that “to heal” does not necessarily mean “to cure”.

Regular use of Reiki brings about greater harmony and balance helping to prevent any future creation of illness and dis-ease.

Reiki supports all forms of treatment both orthodox (allopathic) and natural/alternative therapy.

Reiki enables healing to take place on the Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual Levels. In the Spiritual Modem of Healing we look to more than the mundane Physical Body. We also have what are known as SUBTLE ENERGY BODIES. The different Subtle Energy Bodies have four main bodies: Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual. Each Energy …
